Fall youth basketball league starts this month! Program Coordinator Alex explains why YMCA basketball is so much more than just a game.
“Youth basketball teams foster a positive learning environment because the whole community gets involved. The games are a family event, where team moms bring snacks to share and everyone cheers on both teams. Basketball teaches the kids responsibility, teamwork, and confidence by teaching the kids that whether you are an NBA star or a beginner; there’s a place for you on the team.”
